The village of Thana used to be a tourist attractions in the early days (1980-1995). It is a peaceful place to live. The artificial lake of Murriz is suitable for swiming and fishing. The hills around the village are covered with olive trees and stretch in long distance. The climate is dry and hot in the summer and wet in the winter. The temperatures go to 30-35 degree Celsius in the summer to above 0 degree Celsius in the winter. It rarely snows but if you want a cold winter, you can pay a visit on the north of Albania. Also the Tomorri mountain can be visited for some snow experience (not far away from Thana). The main road is 5 km away. This connects city of Lushnje with Berat. In Berat you can visit an old, beautiful, historical castle.
